Grandma's Birthday

grandma's birthday:

...my mum is crazy, ignore her.

once in a while the bro and i would sit down and have a really really long convo about what's been going on in our lives. this time, we just shifted from our living room to MOF :)
been wanting to come here ever since ms tee kept emphasising how good their desserts are and my my, this first adventure surprising went to bro.

catching up over good food and laughing at all the shits that's been happening lately to both of us while the next table of middle-aged ladies discuss about their sex life. not eavesdropping, they were just really loud.

today marks the 3rd month 12th day at work and still, i hate my job. "hate" may be too mild a word. Detest? abhor? it's somewhere along that line. the only positivity there is, is to be able to have the whole 4 cubicles to myself. i can fb, i can stone, and i can fb some more. but nowadays i'm being surrounded by indians. they took over my hiding place at work and half of my desk. now i'm cramped in this small space, have to deal with indian songs (Oh yeah)and yes, it smells "good" here. alrights, they are nice people although i've yet to speak to any of them, only politely declined their invitation to a morrocan cookie.

on hindsight i have no idea what i have been doing these couple of weeks. im trying to recall but everything just seems hazy.


i just have to endure 8 more weeks.

it was a last minute decision by the JC gang to meet up for some dim sum at the red light district zone.
geylang 126 is SUPPER NICE! ok, this wasn't the exact words i used while conveying my exploding excitement to jo. i admit, i used something more vulgar.
it's a MUST TRY even for those who, like me, would rather have their butts stuck to their bed and eat off the floor than to go out for a nice yummy fare.
not that i do eat off the floor...
it's duper delish i kept smiling while i chow down the food and can't stop exclaiming "很好吃!很好吃!" rather idiotic if you've seen me but i just can't help it~
and who goes to geylang without going for their soya bean curd right! again, 真的很好吃!
Headed to Marina Barrage to kill time and was hoping to spot some meteor shower on that day. not a single star fell but it was still nice catching up with the rest.

i didn't think i'll be affected yet seeing the rest being so devastated, it somehow caught on me too.

yeah, we had to brave the freaking flights of stairs. only two of them and our legs turned wobbly. this is what old age does to you but we shall not give up. i tried to run all the way to the top. keyword: TRIED.

i caught two! so ok, i know, my contribute isn't quite a big of a deal. we caught a total sum of 19 and 13 of them went to these cute little devils. what good life.

Candle-Light fun

we forgo half the dinner at the wedding and i head down to meet up with the rest to carry out surprise xb mission on her 22nd b'day, 12am.
so basically wrong timing, ms goh went out to count down with fam. gang had to find somewhere to sit down (ok. mostly me. heels can kill okay.)
dozen of blisters thereafter from all the walking and sneaking around and me swearing to end her life on the first day of her 22nd year once she gets back home, main character finally shows - shocked = good.
ed and some came up with the plan, the rest of us were mainly free labour. we attracted a lot of stares from passer-bys since we were setting it up at the carpark. i guess some mistook us for some weird cult since it seemed as if we were burning joss sticks and paper money.
Whatever, it turned out really really pretty!


we always end up having mac breakfast together. discuss about movies and conclusion: tropic thunder is SHIT.

godsis's wedding: 20.09.2009.
after 13 years, they tied the knot.
i can't believe they broke mum and dad's dating record of 9 years.
held at Chijmes, a place which i'm sure is the dream place to hold the wedding dinner for many of you. however i find it a tat too overrated AND overpriced. yes the history is beautiful, is enchanting, but the catering and service - too sluggish. all the aunties at the table lost their patience, the waitress' face as black as charcoal.
oh, and there's way too many pillars. i can't see shit.

that's the godbro giving a heartfelt speech (camera zoom zoom zooooomed): "...seeing her grow and mature from her hello kitty days to whom she is now..."
it's super sweet but at the same time uneasy when your own bro is sitting right beside you and you can tell he's already taking down mental notes and planning what to say on his sis's wedding day. and then there's mum and dad... you get the idea.
it's too weird, goosebumps are popping!
