Candle-Light fun

we forgo half the dinner at the wedding and i head down to meet up with the rest to carry out surprise xb mission on her 22nd b'day, 12am.
so basically wrong timing, ms goh went out to count down with fam. gang had to find somewhere to sit down (ok. mostly me. heels can kill okay.)
dozen of blisters thereafter from all the walking and sneaking around and me swearing to end her life on the first day of her 22nd year once she gets back home, main character finally shows - shocked = good.
ed and some came up with the plan, the rest of us were mainly free labour. we attracted a lot of stares from passer-bys since we were setting it up at the carpark. i guess some mistook us for some weird cult since it seemed as if we were burning joss sticks and paper money.
Whatever, it turned out really really pretty!

we always end up having mac breakfast together. discuss about movies and conclusion: tropic thunder is SHIT.

and happy b'day to wql too :)

godsis's wedding: 20.09.2009.
after 13 years, they tied the knot.
i can't believe they broke mum and dad's dating record of 9 years.
held at Chijmes, a place which i'm sure is the dream place to hold the wedding dinner for many of you. however i find it a tat too overrated AND overpriced. yes the history is beautiful, is enchanting, but the catering and service - too sluggish. all the aunties at the table lost their patience, the waitress' face as black as charcoal.
oh, and there's way too many pillars. i can't see shit.
pardon blurry pics, am so in a rush i almost trip down the stairs.

that's the godbro giving a heartfelt speech (camera zoom zoom zooooomed): "...seeing her grow and mature from her hello kitty days to whom she is now..."
it's super sweet but at the same time uneasy when your own bro is sitting right beside you and you can tell he's already taking down mental notes and planning what to say on his sis's wedding day. and then there's mum and dad... you get the idea.
it's too weird, goosebumps are popping!
center, in blue is beloved godma - mum's bestest friend. i love her very much so indeed. just to say.

No time, no energy to head to blogger.com.
Work is hectic but fine apart from rude emails and the blame game. Nowadays 6pm comes easily as I work my ass off.

Owing to Jo's awesome finds, I've got some free movie to watch!
24th Aug: CoCo Avant Chanel.

Rubbed shoulders with couple of local celebs, from some 100 metres away.
Personally I think the movie's forgettable. The sole reason for the whole big hoo-ha I suppose is its association with the famous double C's.
Anyhow, time to move away from ew-too-girly soon, I'm boring myself to death with florals.

28th Aug: Kichiku: Banquet of the Beasts
my first R21 movie experience went to chabor hee hee hee.Showing at the Arts Museum as part of the Jap Film Festival, this film is based on a true incident about the killing spree of a left wing activist youth group during 1970 in Japan.
Yes, nihon. I should have known how graphic it was going to be.
Not for the faint-hearted I tell you, it ain't pleasant at all.
The plot lacked depth, the whole 120 minutes was plainly torture to the senses with nothing more than naked butts, sex, brutal killings and innards spilling out.
Half of the movie I had my eyes sealed, fingers glued to the ears, and forced my mind to wander elsewhere, to think happy thoughts.
Good thing for old people like us, we tend to forget easily - the gore, the sex, and the hideous nudity. Defo not my kind of a popcorn thriller.
Will need a gallon of brain bleach.
google title image and you'll know what i'm talking about.

1st Sep: I love you, Beth Cooper.
Teenage Chick Flick - meaning, we're too ancient for it.

Results for exams released today. 3 months of being in denial mode is up.
I couldn't concentrate on anything that day when half my mind's wondering about the what-if's and the other half is practically turned off after work.
It took a lot of guts to log in and receive my fate. Regrets, definitely, as always.
But still, I'm ecstatic to annouce officially that I'VE GRADUATED! hell yeah.
It's goodbye to books and school.
